At Babylon Presents' October 17 Istanbul concert, Ceylan Ertem, one of the strongest female vocalists of Turkey, will also take the stage at Volkswagen Arena with her distinct show.
The Franco Moroccan singer, born in 1979, Hindi Zahra made a sensational start in 2009 with her debut single "Beautiful Tango". In 2009, she released her EP with "Beautiful Tango", "Oursoul", "Try" and "Stand Up" as some of the songs she had written in 2005. Later in 2010, she released her first album "Handmade" through an American jazz label, Blue Note Records. Having reached a wide audience with her self-arranged and produced debut album "Handmade", she released her most recent album "Homeland" in April 2015.
Ceylan Ertem started her music career in 2006 with the rock band Anima. Having released her first solo album 'Soluk' in 2010, Ceylan Ertem drew attention with her songs 'İnsandık', 'Çok Yakın' and 'Nazım'a Şarkılar'. Her second solo album 'Ütopyalar Güzeldir' was released in 2012 and was listed as one of the top 5 albums by many critics. Apart from her own songs, Ceylan Ertem interprets songs of female musicians who have left traces on her life and the history of Turkish music, with her Sezen Aksu Tribute and Cadı Avı projects.
