About the Event

Legendary names of blues music, which begot the birth of jazz, pop, rock and R&B and pioneered numerous popular movements, will come together for the “Blues Sessions İstanbul”.
The evening will bring to stage the awarded artist Jimmy Burns who combines his Delta roots with Contemporary Blues and Soul and is today among its most active representatives; the prominent vocalist of Chicago Blues, Gospel and Boogie Jazz, the successful musician, song writer, actress and teacher Katherine Davis; guitarist Dave Herrero who has been awarded in various prestigious international organizations; and the Chicago-based Mississippi Heat featuring Sax Gordon andBerk Arıhan Blues Experience. The evening will also feature one of the most important jazz vocalists of Turkey Elif Çağlar who will perform pieces by legendary names such as Barış Manço and Özdemir Erdoğan accompanied by Jimmy Burns and Katherine Davis.
