About the Event

Just two years before the Seattle based Grunge movement dominated the rock music, in the year of 1987, Pixies released their first 8-track album “Come on Pilgrim”. With their dynamic and energetic musical style Pixies paved the road for the upcoming bands like Nirvana, Pavement, Radiohead and the Strokes by releasing 6 studio albums till their disbandment in 1993. Known for their track “Where is My Mind?” from the “Fight Club” soundtrack along with other hits like ““Debaser”, “This Monkey’s Gone to Heaven”, “Caribou”, “Here Comes Your Man” and “Hey” The Pixies, continue to prove why they are definitely acknowledged in “the bands that shaped 90’s Rock list”.After reuniting in 2004, The Pixies will be performing their first ever show in İstanbul at Volkswagen Arena on 24th of June.
